The Fylde Bird Club has sponsored another five satellite tagged Cuckoos to support this BTO research project. Our new birds are Joe, Cuach Torc, Jasper, KP and Sayaan.

The Fylde Bird Club supports this project by sponsoring a number of Cuckoos at a cost of £10 per bird.
The donations contribute to the cost of satellite tracking devices and data download and processing.
In 2021 the Club sponsored five satellite tagged cuckoos:
Columbus – tracker fitted in Perthshire Scotland
Victor II – tracker fitted in Perthshire Scotland
Daniel – tracker fitted in Powys Wales
AJ – tracker fitted in Sherwood Forest England
Ellis – tracker fitted in Perthshire Scotland
Unfortunately all these birds have since perished but significant data was obtained on their migration routes, stop-over locations and wintering areas.
