Membership fees are £14 per year for adults, £10 seniors and £22 family, with young people under 18 joining for free. Membership includes a copy of the annual Fylde Bird Report, regular Newsletters and help with access to a local WhatsApp group for rare and scarce bird information. Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December. Anyone joining after 31st August will receive membership that runs for the remainder of the current year and the whole of the following year.
Information on Recent Bird Sightings in the Fylde and Where To Watch birds in the Fylde is freely available. If you would like to know more about the Fylde Bird Club, contact the Secretary or attend one of our meetings before deciding on joining (a £3 visitor fee is payable at the meeting); new members are always welcome.
How to join the Fylde Bird Club:
We would encourage you to join the Fylde Bird Club by using our on-line portal. This can be accessed by using the ‘Join Us / Renew’ link further down the page:-
Please follow the on-screen instructions to complete your personal contact details and submit an on-line application form. After you have submitted your form, you will need to pay for your membership; membership can be paid for on-line when you complete your application form. Once your application has been approved, and your payment has been received, you will be sent an e-mail that acknowledges your payment and includes a new members information pack. You will also receive, by post, a copy of the most recent Fylde Bird Report, The Birds of Marton Mere (2nd Edition) and a car sticker.
You can also pay for your membership in a number of other ways, depending on your preference. Those alternative options for payment are Standing Order, Bank Transfer, Cheque or Cash (at any of our meetings if the Treasurer is present at the meeting). The process for each of these payment options is identical to that described above but when you get to the payment section, rather than the default ‘Card Payment’ option, instead select one of the ‘Pay with Standing Order, Bank Transfer, Cheque or Cash’ options and then click the orange ‘Pay by…’ button. This will complete the online process and you will be sent a confirmation email (to the email address used in your application), which will contain links on how to complete the payment for your chosen option. Please note that your membership will not be ‘live’ until payment has been received.
Please note that a ‘Young Person’ membership (under 18 years) is FREE when purchased alongside a full ‘Adult’, ‘Senior’ or ‘Family’ membership. Please contact the Treasurer/Membership Secretary (Kinta Beaver) at fyldebirdclub@gmail.com and let us know the name of the young person, as well as the name of the paying member, so that we can link the memberships together on our on-line portal. Junior members may attend Club meetings but must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you are unable to use the online membership portal then you will need to contact the Treasurer/Membership Secretary (Kinta Beaver) at fyldebirdclub@gmail.com to provide your personal contact details so that these details can be uploaded to our membership portal on your behalf. You will still be able to pay for your membership using one of the means described above and your membership will commence once your application has been approved and payment has been received.
